Open Play 'Winners/Losers-Split' Format and Paddle Rack System 

1. What is Open Play?

   • Open play is a time where all courts are open for all to play as one large group.

   • Read the full explanation and tips for this open play format!

2. Paddle Rack Format:

   • When the courts become full, implement the rack system

   • Your first time into the rack, place your paddle in either the Winners side of the rack or the Losers side (your choice).

   • Upon completion of an in-progress game, all four players exit the court.

   • The Paddle Rack System separates winners and losers when they come off the court

     1. Winners place paddles in next available slots on winners side of the rack

     2. Losers place paddles in next available slots on losers side of the rack

   • An indicator arrow alternates who goes out next when a court opens (Next Up Winners or Next Up Losers)

   • The Next Up group (determined by the alternating arrow) 

     1. Takes their 4 paddles out, 

     2. Slides the remaining paddles towards the center of the rack for the next round on that side, 

     3. Rotates the “Indicator Arrow”, 

     4. Promptly heads to the open court and ensures previous partners are split up.
